I was singing long before I even thought about teaching. I never thought about it actually. Until one day a fan of mine asked me to teach her to sing - like me! I said I've never taught and she begged me to start with her. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would (I didn't think I'd have the patience), and I got the thumbs up from my previous teachers who approved me and my teaching ways! I started to get new students all by word of mouth, and realised I should get some kind of qualification. So I studied at the Conservatorium of Music (Brisbane, Australia) for a year, learning from contemporary and classical vocal coaches. It was an amazing experience. So, Here I am, 15 years later, qualified and experienced, teaching singing and also beginner piano, guitar, theory and songwriting. Some of my students do all of the above too! If you're keen but really don't know where to start, start here. I know what it's like to struggle to be free with singing, to reach the high notes, to catch my breath on the long phrases, and to be confident in what I am doing, how I'm performing, and how to make people feeeeel when I sing. I've learned a LOT in my more than 20 years of performing and over 15 years of teaching. So.. what are you waiting for!? Looking forward to hearing from you, Lauren x
